Build People Power,

Win Climate Solutions.

WHO WE ARE

The 350 Network Council is a coalition of the 16 largest independent 350 affiliates in the United States, located in MA, VT, NH, WA, OR, CA, CO, WI, MN, IL, MT, and RI.  We have a collective budget of more than $7 million dollars, employ more than 70 full time staff, and work with thousands of members and volunteers. We are united by our commitment to climate justice, grassroots organizing, and shared values.

Our members are community organizations that combine base building with strategic grassroots campaigns for climate justice. We run campaigns that stop fossil fuel infrastructure expansion and divest from fossil fuels, as well as solutions campaigns to move millions of dollars towards public investment in renewable energy generation, clean public transportation, and electrification.

THEORY OF CHANGE

350 Network Council organizations make change by organizing a powerful and active base of the public to win systemic change and political action for climate justice. We run powerful grassroots campaigns to win a just transition to 100% renewable energy and an end to fossil fuel extraction. We strive to mobilize a multigenerational, multicultural and multiracial movement.

The 350 Network Council is a national association of independent 350 affiliates. We leverage the experience and knowledge of our members to build the capacity of our organizations and to seed the growth and development of smaller 350 affiliates. Our collective impact is greater than the sum of our parts.

HOW WE WORK

The 350 Network Council is legally and financially independent. Our members elect to work on collaborative campaigns to bring critical on the ground organizing power to national climate movement efforts. 350 Network Council member organizations collaborate with hundreds of partner organizations and participate in more than 60 coalitions that include environmental justice groups, organized labor, faith communities, youth, and frontline organizations. We collaborate with our partners at 350.org when goals and strategy are aligned.

The 350 Network council raises and distributes critical resources to our member organizations and to the broader network of 350 affiliates in the USA. Democratic regranting, decision making, and anticompetitive partnerships are at the core of our organizing model. The 350 Network Council is legally and financially independent from 350.org.

  • We are recruiting, training and supporting tens of thousands of volunteers and onboarding thousands of young people and frontline community members into the climate movement.

  • We are organizing powerful and sustained escalated actions, campaigns and electoral engagement to exploit key political moments and to shape the national narrative around climate injustice and increasingly devastating climate disasters.

  • We are building the capacity of the 15 350 Network Council members and providing seed funding to additional local 350 in order to build a massive national grassroots climate movement. 350 groups engaged with Network Council support include 350 Chicago, 350 Brooklyn, 350 Montgomery County and 350 Montana.

  • We are pairing the deep organizing relationships, and local expertise of state and regionally based organizations with the national resources necessary to transform what's politically possible on climate justice. Our shared vision, theory of change, and values allow us to align our work and run collaborative campaigns.
